CustomCells is a German developer and manufacturer of high-performance lithium-ion battery cells, founded in 2012. Headquartered in Itzehoe, Germany, CustomCells combines advanced battery cell development with flexible manufacturing capabilities, operating R&D facilities and scalable production lines from laboratory and prototype builds through to series-ready cell production. Following the addition of a new ownership group in July 2025, CustomCells and its team of around 100 employees continue to focus on customized battery cell solutions for the most demanding applications in defense, aerospace, motorsport and other high-tech industries.
