Working with Businesses to Raise Awareness of Domestic Abuse
About Domestic Abuse Education
Founded by Sharon Livermore MBE, a domestic abuse survivor and national campaigner, DAE combines lived experience with professional expertise to help both UK and international businesses create safer, more inclusive workplaces. Sharon and the team deliver award-winning CPD-accredited training, policy development, and culture-change programmes tailored for modern organisations. Our Mission We help organisations understand domestic abuse, recognise warning signs, respond safely, and refer employees to support, ensuring no one faces abuse alone. Every business we work with is guided to implement a clear, inclusive domestic abuse policy, or guidance, aligned with best practice. Why It Matters For many, work is the only safe place away from an abuser. Employers who recognise this can make a life-saving difference. Embedding awareness into culture, policy, and training fulfils a business’s duty of care and supports genuine employee wellbeing. What We Offer CPD-Accredited Training on domestic abuse awareness and workplace response. Domestic Abuse Champion Training for internal points of contact. Lunch & Learn sessions and bespoke packages tailored to your organisation. Guest speaking, video, and podcast content for awareness campaigns. Free policy resources, including Sharon’s Policy and the Protecting Every Future maternity guide, reviewed by Hogan Lovells and developed with leading partners. Our Commitment All DAE training is inclusive of all gender identities and covers how to Recognise, Respond, and Refer those affected by abuse. We also help organisations adapt maternity, parental, and family policies to support survivors during critical life stages.
