Patients' lives depend on us being there. With your support, we can be!
About Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance
This year, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance celebrates 25 Years of Saving Lives across the local community, bringing the hospital to the patient when every second counts. The enhanced skills of our team, specialist equipment and drugs that we carry, along with the speed of our response, is often the difference between life and death. Our team of highly skilled pilots, critical care practitioners and doctors are operational for 19 hours a day (7.00am-2.00am), 365 days a year. The care that we provide is only made possible because of people like you, as every mission and every life saved is funded by donations. Without this support, our service would not exist. In 2016 we were tasked 800 times - last year it was nearly 3,000. As demand for our service has increased, so too have our operational costs. With every mission costing approximately £3,500, your support will ensure that we are always ready to respond, whenever and wherever needed, and help to save lives.
