About Deutsche Private Equity (DPE)
Since 2007, DPE has been a growth partner to mid‑sized companies in the German‑speaking region (DACH). DPE supports its portfolio companies with capital, expertise, and genuine appreciation for entrepreneurial leadership, helping them realize their full long-term potential. The investment focus is centered on five core sectors: Business Services, Energy & Environment, Healthcare, Industrial Technology, and Software & IT Services. Founded in Munich by Marc Thiery and Volker Hichert, DPE has successfully launched five fund generations to date. Its investment strategy focuses on established companies with strong market positions, leading product or service offerings, and compelling development prospects. DPE currently manages assets of around €3 billion. The funds raised to date have backed over 45 portfolio companies, through both majority and minority stakes. In total, these companies have completed over 170 acquisitions, created around 7,000 new jobs, and today employ nearly 10,000 people.
