Duncanville Independent School District is a K-12 public school system located in North Texas working to transform education for the students we serve. As a result of our work with parents, business owners, and community members, the district designed a comprehensive learner profile that clearly identifies the abilities and skills students will gain as a result of their education in Duncanville. This profile, known as the Vision of the Learner, includes three innovative learning standards - leadership and character development, learning technologies, and 21st century skills. These three learning standards all focus on developing the character traits and competencies needed to be successful in our global society. Serving more than 13,300 students, Duncanville ISD is very serious about designing profound learning experiences and challenges that are engaging, relevant, and meaningful to learners. We strive to provide students with the tools, resources, and environments they need to be able to communicate and create innovatively, explore and investigate independently or collaboratively, and demonstrate leadership and self-discipline fluently.
