About East Sussex WRAS
East Sussex Wildlife Rescue & Ambulance Service is an award winning community charity which helps thousands of people and at risk wildlife across the heart of East Sussex every year. Established as a voluntary group in 1996, its founder Trevor Weeks MBE has been rescuing wildlife and undertaking conservation work since 1985. The organisation has grown from a one man band to the small charity that it today, with its own Casualty Centre capable of taking in up to 300 casualties at any one time, its own veterinary theatre, X-ray room, casualty rooms, orphan rooms, rehabilitation facilities and a small fleet of veterinary ambulances. The charity runs entirely on donations, grants, monthly standing orders and legacies.
