About Electric Vehicles UK
Electric Vehicles UK (EVUK) is an industry-to-consumer accelerator helping the UK move towards a fully electric future. Founded in 2024, we exist to make electric mobility easier to understand, easier to trust, and easier for everyone to access. We work to clear up confusion, challenge misinformation, and remove the barriers that stop drivers from making the switch. We bring together companies from across the EV industry to engage with consumers, policymakers and the media to show that battery electric vehicles are not only ready today, they’re already cheaper, better and more enjoyable to drive. Our mission is simple: to drive demand for battery electric vehicles in the UK. We do this by coordinating a clear and consistent industry voice, and by giving consumers the trusted facts and real-world experiences they need to switch to an EV with confidence. We work to * Build public confidence with accurate, independent and easy-to-understand information * Bring the whole electric mobility industry together behind a shared, fact-based message * Break down barriers to adoption and actively correct persistent misconceptions * Support people throughout their EV journey, from first questions to first charge * Champion affordability, accessibility and fairness in the transition to electric mobility Our Vision We want every driver in the UK to feel informed, supported and excited about switching to electric. Through end-user programmes like test drives, combined with data-driven insights, strategic communications and creative advocacy, we help influence policymakers, the media and potential purchasers alike. Our goal is to accelerate the uptake of both new and used battery electric vehicles and keep the UK firmly on track to meet or exceed its transition targets. EVUK bridges the gap between industry expertise and public understanding, ensuring every potential EV driver has the facts, the experience and the confidence they need to make the switch.
