About eu-LISA
This is the official company page for the European Union Agency for the Operational Management of Large-Scale IT Systems in the Area of Freedom, Security and Justice (eu-LISA) - The Digital Heart of Schengen. eu-LISA was established to manage large-scale information systems in the area of freedom, security and justice, in order to support the implementation of the EU's border management, asylum and migration policies. The Agency fulfils operational management tasks for Eurodac, the Schengen Information System (SIS), the Visa Information System (VIS), as well as e-CODEX. eu-LISA has also been entrusted with the development and operational management of the European Entry/Exit System (EES), the European Travel Information and Authorisation Systems (ETIAS), the European Criminal Records Information System - Third Country Nationals (ECRIS-TCN), and to ensure that all systems are interoperable. eu-LISA is responsible for keeping all the IT systems under its control permanently functional in order to allow continuous and uninterrupted exchange of data between national authorities.
