The Faculty of Medical Leadership and Management (FMLM) is the UK’s professional home for clinical leadership. We improve health and care by promoting evidence-based leadership and management excellence at individual, team, organisational, and system levels. We support healthcare professionals at all stages of their careers, from students to senior clinicians and directors, through membership, fellowship, mentoring, coaching, and accredited development pathways. FMLM sets nationally recognised standards for leadership, linking excellence to better health outcomes, workforce wellbeing, and organisational performance. Our inclusive community connects clinical leaders across all healthcare disciplines through events, networks, and digital platforms, fostering peer learning, mentorship, and continuous development. Founded in 2011 by the UK Medical Royal Colleges and Faculties, and endorsed by the Academy of Medical Royal Colleges, FMLM champions clinical leadership as a profession and drives measurable improvements in health and care.
