I paint mainly in Inks and Acrylics. My work is simple and sparse. I want you to pause and to create moments of peace. Art helps us see ourselves and the world more clearly. Art can create a space of tranquillity. It helps us reflect, contemplate and connect with our inner and outer world. It reminds us of the best of being human. Where I Stand Beauty. I believe in beauty. It’s everywhere. I believe in the power of art to remind us of beauty. Beauty lifts us, for a moment, out of time. It lets us pause in front of the best of being alive. Connection. We’re interconnected. Art helps us integrate with the world. We connect across time and culture through art, music, dance and story. Kindness: It’s really not hard is it? Just be kind and respectful - to yourself, others and the world we share. Nature: It’s our home. We do not own it. All creatures yearn to live and we can serve them as they do so. We’re stewards, not masters. Service. I thrive when I give, trusting that, in turn, I’ll be given back to. Sometimes it happens, sometimes not. I’d rather live in hope than disappointment. I’m an idealist. Cynicism is emotional cowardice. TITHING: I donate 10% of the money I make through selling my paintings to organisations that serve: - alleviating poverty in Fanad (the part of Ireland I live in) - supporting refugees as they settle in Ireland - regenerating coastal landscape in Fanad - giving emergency relief to those suffering through war, famine or natural disaster (In 2025 I'll concentrate on humanitarian relief in Gaza).
