About FFC
FFC is the largest urea manufacturer in the country. It was incorporated in 1978 as a joint venture between Fauji Foundation (a leading charitable trust in Pakistan) and Haldor Topsoe A/S of Denmark.The Company is operating three world scale urea manufacturing plants with an aggregate design capacity of over 2 million metric tonnes per annum. These three plants are located at two different sites. Additionally, FFC has stakes in the subsidiary Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (formerly FFC-Jordan Fertilizer Company Limited), Pakistan Maroc Phosphore SA (PMP) in Morocco (that meets the entire raw material requirement of FFBL's DAP production) and Fauji Cement. FFC commenced commercial production of urea in 1982 with annual capacity of 570,000 metric tons. (Plant-I at Sadiqabad, Distt. Rahimyar Khan) Through De-Bottle Necking (DBN) program, the production capacity of the existing Plant-I was increased to 695,000 metric tons per year. Production capacity of Sadiqabad Plantsite was enhanced by establishing a second plant in 1993 with annual capacity of 635,000 metric tons of urea. In the year 2002, FFC acquired ex Pak Saudi Fertilizers Limited (PSFL) Urea Plant situated at Mirpur Mathelo, District Ghotki (Currently known as Plant-III) from National Fertilizer Corporation (NFC) through privatisation process of the Government of Pakistan. FFC also markets the entire production of FFBL under its brand name "SONA". Thus FFC's Marketing Group is the largest fertilizer marketing network in country which markets nearly 3.5 million metric tonnes of fertilizer per annum.
