About Institut technologique FCBA
Créé en 1952, pour et à la demande des professionnels, le FCBA (fusion CTBA et Afocel en 2007) est un outil au service des entreprises des secteurs bois et ameublement, œuvrant aussi bien dans les domaines de la recherche et du développement que dans ceux de l'information, de l'assistance technique, de la formation, de la normalisation et de la certification. Dès l'origine, sa mission est de promouvoir le progrès technique, participer à l'amélioration du rendement et à la garantie de la qualité dans l'industrie. Son statut est celui de Centre technique industriel. Il fait partie du réseau CTI (Centres Techniques Industriels). Il est géré par un Conseil d'administration. Un centre technique industriel au service des entreprises du bois et de l'ameublement * Exploitation forestière, * Scierie, * Emballage, * Papier * Menuiserie, * Panneaux, * Parquets, * Charpente, * Ameublement, * Agencement, * Négoce. Le FCBA est structuré autour de ses laboratoires et de ses équipes d'ingénieurs, de chercheurs et de techniciens dont les compétences font appel à des connaissances variées qu'impose la complexité du matériau bois et la diversité de ses applications. Il emploie 350 personnes sur sept sites géographiques.
