A dream of festival producers and patrons alike, FestivalPark is birthed and buttressed by the two-decade-plus-old FloydFest — the Southeast’s premier, award-winning summer outdoor music festival — and its quest to have a permanent home. Celebrating 20-plus years of bringing the artistry of live music info full focus via the art of the festival, Blue Cow Arts & Across-the-Way Productions announced the move to FestivalPark in June 2022, and hosted its first festival in Summer 2024: FloydFest 24~Horizon (July 24-28). All sights are now set on the next chapter, FloydFest 25~Aurora, July 23-27, 2025. The vibe synonymous with FloydFest, its culture and its community, guide the design and direction of FestivalPark, as does FloydFest’s longtime mantra of ‘Music, Magic, Mountains.’ FloydFest’s purposeful programming will take care of the ‘music’ and magic,’ and FestivalPark aims to showcase the ‘mountains,’ including myriad outdoor adventure offerings, such as hiking trails, biking trails, a disc golf course, incredible camping and glamping, information on outdoor experiences in the surrounding Floyd County and greater region, and so much more. FestivalPark is located at 5826 Floyd Highway North in Check, Va., ideally and idyllically positioned between the mountain towns of Roanoke, Va., and Floyd, Va.
