About FluidCor Engineering
Giovanni Corvaglia is a simulation engineer specialized in the thermo-fluid analysis of high-performance powertrains and their components. He spent seven years in the Powertrain Simulation and Know-How group at Ferrari, following earlier experience at Porsche Engineering. That work covered the full modeling chain, from system-level analysis to detailed component CFD, consistently validated against test data. He is the founder of FluidCor Engineering, an independent simulation consultancy supporting R&D teams in the automotive, motorsport and industrial sectors. SERVICES • 1D-CFD system simulation: cooling and lubrication circuits, air paths, thermal management, gas exchange and powertrain performance (GT-Suite). • 3D-CFD component analysis: flow, thermal and multiphase analysis of heat exchangers, pumps, manifolds, cooling jackets and ducting, including conjugate heat transfer (Simcenter STAR-CCM+). • Coupled 1D/3D-CFD simulation: integration of system and component models to resolve boundary conditions that neither domain captures alone. • Model correlation and validation: systematic comparison against test-bench and field data. • Design optimization: parametric studies, DoE and design space exploration to identify trade-offs before hardware commitment. • Methodology and process development: simulation workflows, automation and knowledge transfer.
