FARE
Our mission is to improve the quality of life and the health of individuals with food allergies.
About FARE
FARE works on behalf of the 33 million Americans who have food allergies, including all those at risk for life-threatening anaphylaxis. This potentially deadly disease affects 1 in every 13 children in the United States – or roughly 2 in every classroom. FARE was formed in 2012 as the result of a merger between the Food Allergy & Anaphylaxis Network and the Food Allergy Initiative. FARE’s mission is to improve the quality of LIFE and the HEALTH of individuals with food allergies, and to provide them HOPE through the promise of new treatments. We do this by funding providing evidence-based education and resources, undertaking advocacy at all levels of government, increasing awareness of food allergy as potentially life-threatening and a growing public health issue and by investing in world-class research that advances treatment and understanding of the disease.
