Fraunhofer IPMS is a global leader in research and development of electronic and photonic microsystems, driving innovation in Smart Industrial Solutions, Medical & Health, and Mobility. Our technologies underpin products in key markets such as ICT, consumer electronics, automotive, semiconductor, measurement, and medical technology. Our industry-standard cleanrooms include a 1,500 m² MEMS and MOEMS facility supporting technology readiness levels 3 to 8 for process development to pilot production on 200 mm wafers, a 300 m² microdisplay cleanroom for 200 mm wafers, and a 2,700 m² CMOS cleanroom for 300 mm wafers covering both Back-End and Front-End processes. Extensive analytical and characterization tools complete our capabilities. Through research in key technologies, we develop independent, sustainable solutions that meet global market demands. By working closely with industry, we accelerate innovation, boost competitiveness, and strengthen technological sovereignty in Germany and Europe.
