Fréa
Care, Culture, Community and Connectedness-Irish Community organisations in partnership
About Fréa
Fréa denotes 'rootedness' in the Irish language and is a unique partnership of 3 Irish charities based in Leeds, Manchester and Merseyside for the purpose of collaboration, development and achieving sustainability. Many people from the Irish community feel rooted to their heritage and understand the experiences that have shaped them in their journeys of life in Britain. Many feel that as their parents and grandparents age they may want to support Irish organisations to provide the culturally sensitive outlets which help them stay independent and safe. Supported by the Irish Government's Emigrant Support Programme we aim to maximise the potential to support the most vulnerable members of our community by engaging individuals, the community and businesses to support our vision for healthy and thriving Irish communities across the North of England
