The Free Market Medical Association - Kentucky Chapter is a non-partisan group dedicated to promoting the free market movement in healthcare through resources, support, and education. Our members collaborate to support each other and create business opportunities. FMMA aims to connect willing buyers with willing sellers of healthcare services in an open and transparent manner, leading to remarkable outcomes. We educate physicians, self-funded businesses, third-party administrators, and other healthcare providers to advance this movement. Our community includes long-time advocates, newcomers, and everyone in between. FMMA is built on three pillars: 1. PRICE - Price is not the product; care is. - Selling access to pricing is against free market principles. - Discount brokers profiting from "savings" lack transparency. 2. VALUE - Value is determined when buyer and seller agree on a fully disclosed, mutually beneficial price. - Vendors should not alter prices and must disclose all fees truthfully. 3. EQUALITY - Price equality is fundamental to a free market. - Cash is paramount. - Every willing buyer should receive the same price, regardless of any factors.
