About Free Mom Hugs Inc.

Free Mom Hugs is a 501c3 founded by Sara Cunningham and headquartered in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, with chapters established in all 50 states. As of August 2025, Free Mom Hugs has 50,000+ volunteers in the United States and in international affiliate chapters. What We Do Free Mom Hugs works to empower the world to celebrate the LGBTQIA+ community. The programs and initiatives we use to accomplish our mission include: Public speaking engagements for corporations, churches, sporting events, schools and universities. Supporting and advocating for LGBTQIA+ rights Collaborating on programs with local and national organizations like the Human Rights Campaign, PFLAG, The Trevor Project, local Pride organizations and events and more Participating in Pride events and parades Providing resources for individuals and families Creating programs to educate and uplift communities How to Volunteer Within state chapters, volunteers join regional, area or city-based groups where they can organize and participate in local events. Though we’re known as Free Mom Hugs, we welcome dads, aunts, uncles, brothers, sisters, grandparents, and allies as volunteers, too.
