About For The People Action

For The People Action is a 501(c)(4) building political power in the Black, African, Middle Eastern, Muslim and South Asian community. We run field. Since launching in August 2025 we have phone banked over 1.2 million voters, texted more than 850,000, and knocked 58,000 doors across California, Michigan, New Jersey, Minnesota and beyond. What separates our program is the close. Most outreach ends at contact. Ours doesn't. We walk voters through the whole process — what's on the ballot, where their polling place is, what hours it's open — and then we check the voter file after it updates. If someone told us they'd vote and the file says they didn't, we call again. Our work runs across three pillars: civic engagement, a leadership pipeline that trains community members to run and to staff, and advocacy. We also help other organizations build their own 501(c)(4) and PAC infrastructure, because durable power isn't something one organization can hold alone. Register by October 19. Vote November 3.
