About Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit
The Furniture Bank of Metro Detroit is a six decade old non-profit human services organization based out of Pontiac, Michigan. Our mission is to provide matresses and home furniture to children and families in need within our region. One of more than 120 independently operated furniture banks throughout North America, FB of Metro Detroit receives referrals from a network of more than 70 health and human service agencies and has provided furniture to more than 80,000 families since its inception. On an annual basis, we service approximately2,200 local families in-need with over 18,000 items of donated furniture and other housewares.
