Gasilska zveza Ljubljana is the central firefighting association for the Ljubljana area, established in 1995. It brings together and coordinates the work of 35 volunteer fire departments and 3 industrial volunteer fire departments, ensuring a unified, efficient, and professional approach to fire protection and emergency response. The association plays an important role in strengthening operational readiness through organized training, education, and standardization of procedures. It supports the continuous development of firefighting skills, leadership, and technical expertise, contributing to a high level of preparedness for fires, natural disasters, and other emergencies.
