Europe’s most awarded CEE law firm. Now building a European legal & advisory group. Belgrade • Brussels.
About Gecić | Law
Gecić Law is the most awarded independent law firm in South Eastern Europe and the foundation of a European legal and advisory group now expanding across Central and Eastern Europe. Founded in Belgrade in 2015, it became the first independent CEE/Balkans practice to open a permanent Brussels office. It has won The Lawyer European Awards three times (2020, 2021, 2025)—unmatched in the region—and holds Legal 500 Hall of Fame status in Competition. Chambers & Partners, Benchmark Litigation (Litigator of the Year 2025), and Lexology (Thought Leader, M&A & Governance) rank the firm among the region’s leading practitioners. Landmark work includes lead counsel on Telekom Srbija’s €1.5 billion acquisition (the largest telecom deal in Balkans history, merger clearance in four jurisdictions) and the company’s $900 million debut Eurobond alongside Clifford Chance (a first for the Western Balkans). The firm has advised on major US platform expansions across Europe, represented the Government of Serbia before the European Commission, and counselled Bosnia and Herzegovina in a landmark energy dispute. Today, Gecić is evolving into a European group integrating legal, advisory, and investment capabilities under unified governance. The firm has appointed a European Head of Strategy and a European Head of HR & Operations, formed an Executive Management Committee, and is actively expanding into new markets. It is the first CEE firm to recruit at Columbia Law School and NYU’s ISIP program. The team includes graduates of Harvard, KU Leuven, Panthéon-Assas, Nottingham, and the EUI Florence. Through TerraLex (Vice-Chair for Europe) and TAGLaw, the firm executes across 110+ countries.
