Subsalt is compliance infrastructure for healthcare data. Health systems hold decades of patient data. But using it for research, external collaboration, or AI requires clearing a long approval process that was never designed for AI speed. Between governance, privacy, legal, and IRB reviews, months pass, and often the better part of a year, before the work can truly begin. Subsalt removes that barrier. Our platform creates a certified de-identified copy of institutional clinical data that meets HIPAA's Expert Determination standard. Researchers, partners, and AI systems can then access and use health data both quickly and safely, without the review pathways that protected health information requires.
