Girls at Tech Nordics
Empowering girls and non-binary youth to explore, create, and lead in tech.
About Girls at Tech Nordics
Girls at Tech Nordics works to enable a continuous and sustainable flow of women into the tech industry across the Nordics. To us, the math is simple: if we want more women in tech tomorrow, we need more girls considering, choosing, and exploring technology and science today. That’s why we focus on early inspiration, hands-on experiences, and visible role models — creating pathways into tech long before career choices are made. Founded in 2017 by Vanessa Eriksson and Ulrika Andersson and established as a non-profit organization in 2022, Girls at Tech Nordics is an award-winning initiative driven by long-term impact. In 2024, we were proudly named Initiative of the Year at the Nordic Women in Tech Awards. Our founders and leaders have also been nominated for major diversity and impact awards — recognitions we are deeply proud of, especially as this work is carried out alongside full-time roles and commitments. Through strong partnerships with industry, academia, and the public sector, we empower girls and non-binary youth to build confidence, curiosity, and a sense of belonging in tech. Together with our community, we are shaping a more diverse, innovative, and sustainable tech ecosystem — one generation at a time.
