About Global Council for Responsible AI

The Global Council for Responsible AI (GCRAI) is an independent international authority advancing the responsible, ethical, trustworthy, and accountable development, implementation, and use of artificial intelligence. Operating across 77+ countries, GCRAI unites governments, industry, academia, and civil society to create global alignment in AI governance. In 2026, at the Annual Meeting of the World Economic Forum in Davos, GCRAI unveiled GRAICE™, the Global Responsible AI Compliance, Implementation, and Ethics framework. GRAICE™ is Humanity’s Operating System for AI, designed to bring structure, transparency, and measurable governance into how AI systems are built, deployed, and monitored. It enables companies and governments to understand how AI systems operate and behave, while providing the mechanisms necessary to steward their development, implementation, and use responsibly. GRAICE™ is intentionally cross sector, cross industry, and cross platform, ensuring applicability across public and private institutions, regulated environments, enterprise systems, cloud infrastructures, and AI-native architectures. It establishes a global Trust Architecture that embeds oversight, traceability, risk management, and accountability into AI lifecycles. Once implemented, organizations undergo independent evaluation by Certified GRAICE™ Compliance Auditors (CGCA) who test and review measurable outputs against governance benchmarks. Successful entities are awarded the GCRAI Seal of Approval Certification, signifying verified alignment with responsible AI standards. Through structured governance, measurable compliance, and global collaboration, GCRAI moves responsible AI from principle to operational reality.
