Founded in 1947, Goodwill of Central and Northern Arizona is one of the Arizona’s largest and most impactful nonprofit organizations, dedicated to ending poverty through the power of work. Through a network of retail stores, donation centers, career services, and educational initiatives, Goodwill empowers individuals, strengthens families, and builds stronger communities across central and northern Arizona. Revenue generated through the sale of donated goods helps fund a wide range of mission services, including career development and workforce training, as well as innovative education programs like The Excel Center, Arizona’s first in-person adult high school offering individuals over the age of 18 the opportunity to return to school and earn their high school diploma at no cost to them. Together, these programs help individuals gain the skills, credentials, and confidence needed to move from minimum-wage jobs to family-sustaining careers.
