The Governor's Prevention Partnership
Building capacity to prevent underage drinking and substance use and promoting the overall health of Connecticut's Youth
About The Governor's Prevention Partnership
Now in our 36th year, The Governor's Prevention Partnership continues to empower Connecticut families and strengthen communities through a public-private partnership that reduces the risk of substance use among our youth. By connecting schools, parents, and organizations with each other and with the resources they need to launch effective risk prevention and intervention strategies, GPP creates and nurtures relationships that impact young people throughout our state. Through our partnerships and programming, Connecticut has seen a drop in underage drinking rates, fewer youth in our criminal justice systems, and a measurable growth in the number of mentoring programs and youth served. Your support can make a direct, positive impact on a young person in your community.
