Grocott and Murfit build considered homes in North Norfolk. We work with architects, designers and clients who care about how buildings are made, what they are made from, and how they sit within the landscape and communities around them. Many of our projects involve working within conservation areas, with listed buildings, or on sites that carry particular responsibility because of where they are and what they replace. The materials we work with are specific to this part of the country. Flint, chalk, traditional brick, lime mortar, timber. We use them because they belong here, and because the buildings we work on have often been using them for centuries before we arrived. Our in-house team includes qualified architects, project managers and quantity surveyors. That breadth of capability means we can support clients from the earliest stages of a project through to completion, particularly suited to clients who want one team responsible for both design and delivery. We also work closely with architects throughout the design and build process. That means engaging early, understanding the architect's intent, and delivering it without compromise. A number of our projects have been developed in long-term partnership with leading practices, and we understand the value of a contractor who protects the architect's vision on site as well as in the programme. Our work spans the full range of residential construction. Heritage restoration, barn conversions, new builds, sustainable construction and extensions across Norfolk and the surrounding area. We have been working with clients to realise projects of genuine ambition since 2007. A number of those projects have been recognised with national and regional awards. We are based near Fakenham in the heart of North Norfolk.
