About CIMPOR
A CIMPOR nasceu, em março de 1976, da fusão de 7 cimenteiras portuguesas e está posicionada na vanguarda do setor cimenteiro em Portugal e Cabo Verde. Com mais de 45 anos de existência, a empresa tornou-se uma sociedade anónima em 1991, com a designação CIMPOR - Cimentos de Portugal, S.A., e mais tarde, em 2012, passou a ser detida pelo Grupo Brasileiro Camargo Corrêa. Em 2019, a CIMPOR foi adquirida pela OYAK, um dos maiores grupos industriais Turcos, líder de mercado com operação em 7 regiões geográficas da Turquia, com capacidade anual de produção de 22,5 milhões de toneladas de cimento. Em março de 2024 foi 100% adquirida pela Taiwan Cement Corporation (TCC), uma empresa sediada em Taiwan, com atividade no sector da energia, fabrico de baterias, produção e comercialização de cimento e produtos derivados. Reconhecida pelo seu compromisso com a sustentabilidade e a implementação de tecnologias de baixo carbono e energias renováveis, a TCC é atualmente o terceiro maior player do mundo no mercado do cimento.
