About Viscaria
Founded in 2006 under the name Copperstone Resources AB and renamed following the acquisition of the Viscaria deposit in 2019, Viscaria is a Swedish junior mining company focused on producing responsibly mined copper in northern Sweden. With all environmental permits in place and production planned for 2027, we are developing a resilient, long-term project that will strengthen Europe’s copper supply. Located in Kiruna, the Viscaria project benefits from high copper grades, access to fossil-free electricity, rail and port infrastructure, and world-class mining and engineering expertise. Our operations meet Sweden’s strictest environmental and social standards – enabling traceable, high-quality copper value chain that aligns with European values and ESG standards. Backed by long-term Swedish investors and an experienced team, Viscaria aims to supply up to five percent of the EU’s copper demand. In a world of increasing geopolitical and resource uncertainty, we are contributing to Europe’s self-sufficiency by producing strategic raw materials – responsibly, transparently, and close to the end users.
