Backing exceptional founders and entrepreneurs across private markets with a long-term mindset.
About Hansmann Family Office (formerly Hans(wo)men Group)
The Hansmann Family Office is an entrepreneurial single family office based in Austria, with a strong focus on private markets. It originated from the angel investment activities of Johann “Hansi” Hansmann, one of Europe’s most active business angels. Since 2010, Hansi has invested in more than 100 companies and supported multiple successful exits, including Shpock, Runtastic, mySugr, Durchblicker, Busuu and Tractive. Our roots are in venture capital. We invest directly in early-stage startups across Europe, typically at pre-seed stage and often as lead investor. Beyond capital, we support our portfolio companies hands-on across strategy, fundraising, hiring, governance and growth. In addition to direct startup investments, we invest in venture capital funds to diversify our exposure and access sectors, geographies and stages beyond our direct investment focus. Over the past years, we have expanded our activities across private equity, real estate, public markets and entrepreneurial philanthropy -always with a long-term mindset and a focus on partnering with exceptional people.
