About Hellenic Railways

Hellenic Railways Single-Member S.A. is the Unified Manager of Greece’s National Railway Infrastructure. We plan, operate, maintain and upgrade the country’s railway network, manage train traffic across the infrastructure, and support the safe and reliable operation of the railway system. Our work covers the maintenance and development of tracks, stations, tunnels, bridges, signalling, traffic control, electrification and telecommunications systems, as well as the delivery of projects and studies for the modernisation and expansion of the network. We also manage rolling stock owned by the Hellenic Republic and support the strategic use of railway assets and property. With safety, technology and accountability at the centre of our work, we are building a more modern, resilient and interoperable railway network — one that can support passenger and freight transport, connections to ports and logistics hubs, regional development, and Greece’s role within the European transport corridors.
