In 1921, Hoffman Auto Group was founded by brothers Israel and Barney Hoffman with the acquisition of a Ford franchise in New Hartford, Connecticut. After over 100 years and with the third and fourth generations leading the company, Hoffman is regarded as one of the most successful family-owned businesses in Connecticut with locations in East Hartford, Avon, New London, and Waterbury. In 2025, the company celebrated its first expansion outside of Connecticut with the acquisition of two dealerships in Burlington, Vermont.
