About Idaho Business for Education

Idaho Business for Education (IBE) is a group of business leaders from across the state who are committed to transforming Idaho’s education system. IBE members are committed to creating a highly educated and skilled workforce that is able to strengthen the business climate and fuel a prosperous Idaho economy. Our mission is to be a driving force in the development of an Idaho education system that results in graduates who have postsecondary credentials and who are workforce-ready. Our vision is to help create an education system that will provide Idaho students with a high-quality education that ensures the well-educated workforce that our businesses and economy require. IBE embraces the State Board of Education’s goal that 60 percent of our 25-34 year-olds will hold a postsecondary credential by 2025. Research shows that six out of ten jobs will require a higher credential – either a one-year workforce ready certificate, a two-year associate’s degree, a bachelor’s degree or higher.
