About IEEE Santa Clara Valley Section
IEEE Santa Clara Valley Section (SCV) is the largest IEEE Section in the United States. The section is home to 28 local Technical Chapters, 4 Affinity Groups, several student chapters in Monterey, Santa Cruz, San Jose, Santa Clara and Stanford. It has received IEEE MGA, IEEE Region 6, and IEEE R6 Central Area Outstanding Large Section Awards. Through the dedication of many volunteers on the SCV Section Executive Committee (ExCom), the SCV Section has maintained the most activities in collaborating with academia and industry leading companies in organizing workshops, conferences, startup/entrepreneurial and industry events such as the Maker Faire, SEMICON West, Wearable Technologies Conference, IEEE Rising Stars, IEEE Global Humanitarian Technology Conference (GHTC) Plug and Play Tech Center Energy Startups Pitch Competition, San Jose State University Engineering Program in Community Services (EPICS), UC Santa Cruz Hack-a-Bot robotics hackathon, and many more. http://www.ieeescv.org
