About IKNL (Integraal Kankercentrum Nederland)
Met de Nederlandse Kankerregistratie (NKR) volgt IKNL al meer dan vijfendertig jaar op landelijk niveau de zorg voor patiënten met kanker. Dit levert een schat aan wetenschappelijk onderbouwde kennis en inzichten op, die direct van waarde zijn voor de praktijk. Inzichten waarmee kanker kan worden voorkomen en de zorg voor patiënten en hun kwaliteit van leven kan worden verbeterd. Onze inzet is dan ook om de impact van kanker te reduceren door betrouwbare en onafhankelijke inzichten over kanker te delen. Dit doen we onder meer vanuit onze multidisciplinaire tumorteams: medewerkers met verschillende achtergronden werken samen op een tumorsoort om zo optimaal kennis en kunde te kunnen benutten. Met KWF Kankerbestrijding en NKF richt IKNL zich via www.kanker.nl ook op patiënten. IKNL is een organisatie van ongeveer vijfhonderdvijftig medewerkers verspreid over acht locaties in Nederland. --- Netherlands comprehensive cancer organisation (IKNL) is the quality institute for oncological and palliative research and practice. IKNL collaborates with healthcare professionals and managers and patients on the continuous improvement of oncological and palliative care. With data from the Netherlands Cancer Registry (NCR), we enable health care professionals, policy makers and others to reflect on cancer care and prevention. The main goal of the Netherlands Comprehensive Cancer Organisation (IKNL) is to reduce the impact of cancer, from the personal to the societal level. With the Netherlands Cancer Registry (NCR) as its core activity, IKNL enables health care professionals, researchers, policy makers and others to reflect on cancer and on palliative care. Together with care professionals, researchers, patients, and policy makers we translate data into valuable insights to improve oncological and palliative care.
