The Institution of Railway Signal Engineering, known more usually as the IRSE, is an international organisation, active throughout the world. It is the professional engineering institution for all those engaged or interested in railway signalling, control and communications and allied disciplines. It is a registered charity with its headquarters in London, and with sections in a number of countries around the world, and in different parts of the UK.
