iNSyT solutions, a spin-off project from the NanoInstitute at LMU Munich, is offering innovative new microscopy technologies for the demands of modern materials science. For centuries, microscopes have propelled technological progress. However, traditional microscopy, while effective for static structures, falls short in capturing the ultrafast, nanoscale processes essential for advancing renewable energy technologies—often at the risk of altering the sample itself. Our non-invasive, operando microscopy technology changes that. By capturing dynamic behaviors in real-time without disrupting the material or the process, iNSyT provides transformative insights into processes like catalytic water splitting, battery charging cycles, semiconductor corrosion, and light conversion in solar cells.
