We support people affected by war and crises to survive and build a self-determined life.
About International Rescue Committee Deutschland
The International Rescue Committee (IRC) supports people affected by war and crises to secure their survival and rebuild their lives. Since its founding in 1933 on the initiative of Albert Einstein, IRC has been providing life-saving assistance, particularly to people forced to flee from war, persecution, or natural disasters. Today, we operate in over 45 countries with more than 17,000 dedicated staff members, restoring the safety, dignity, and hope of millions of people. Since 2016, IRC has also been active in Germany. With the support of German and European donors, more than 200 employees are now engaged in projects for crisis-affected people in Germany and around the world. In dialogue with politicians, governmental and civil society institutions, private partners, and the public, IRC Germany designs projects both domestically and internationally.
