About Invisible Cities
๐ฃWe're growing! We are a UK based social enterprise who are doing tourism differently. Our aim is to create a positive and sustainable social impact for destinations, communities and people. We run walking tours in Glasgow, Edinburgh, Scottish Borders, York, Cardiff and Manchester. We are expanding globally and we'd love to talk about how we could work together in your city. We work with people impacted by homelessness to support them into positive & meaningful opportunities. Our training provides transferable skills like confidence building, public speaking, storytelling & customer service. ๐ฑโโ๏ธOur guides Many go onto our full guide training. Each researches, designs &n plans their tour. Guides are paid the living wage & enjoy theming their tours around their own interests as well as the opportunity to tell their story & break down stigmas around homelessness, the causes & consequences. ๐ฉโ๐ปBusinesses We work closely with charities & support services to welcome people into our community. We benefit from brilliant relationships with businesses who help us by offering training, tours and visits, sponsorship and connections. We also have amazing support from hotels in our cities, who buy tours to gift to guests. ๐งโ๐คโ๐งYou can help Do book one of our tours! Or pay it forward and gift a tour to someone who couldn't afford it. This is brilliant for those new to the city & deserve a friendly welcome. Businesses can help us with spaces for training or events, support for partnership campaigns, buying tours for team events. Hotels and conference centres -we also collect leftovers from events such as food & drinks, stationery & merchandise & put them to good use to support your sustainability efforts. ๐ฐ Press We work with national & regional press and love sharing our stories - contact news@invisible-cities.org. Our guides enjoy working on media opportunities & have experience & confidence working with journalists inc broadcast media.
