Invisible Disabilities® Association
Encouraging, Educating and Connecting People and Organizations Touched by Illness, Pain and Disability Around the Globe.
About Invisible Disabilities® Association
The Invisible Disabilities® Association (IDA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. IDA encourages, educates and connects people and organizations touched by illness, pain and disability around the globe. People touched by illness and pain do not necessarily want understanding since unless someone has been there themselves, they will never fully comprehend; what people really want is belief. The reactions and disbelief of friends and family can be sometimes more devastating than the illness or pain itself. The effects of the illness need to be believed and the invisibleness made visible. IDA has seen firsthand when family members and friends finally discover the hidden nature of illness and pain which in turn restores and strengthens relationships. There can be hope and relationship and belief and IDA is leading the way. IDA's vision is a world where people living with illness, pain and disability will be INVISIBLE NO MORE®.
