About Erasmus Mundus Joint Master - iPSRS
Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) in Intelligent Photonics for Security Reliability Sustainability and Safety (iPSRS) The iPSRS Masters programme is funded by the European Commission as an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) for the period 2024-2030. The Intelligent Photonics for Security, Reliability, Sustainability, and Safety (iPSRS) Erasmus Mundus Joint Master (EMJM) programme is a cutting-edge initiative coordinated by the University Jean Monnet (UJM) in Saint-Etienne, France, our consortium includes the University of Eastern Finland (UEF), Vilnius University (VU) in Lithuania, and University Paris-Est Créteil (UPEC) in France. Together, we aim to leverage the synergies between photonics and artificial intelligence (AI) to address critical societal and industrial challenges. Our comprehensive curriculum is designed to provide students with an unparalleled education in intelligent photonics. Combining theoretical and practical training, the programme covers fundamental and advanced topics in optics, photonics, AI, and their applications. Students will benefit from hands-on research projects, industry collaborations, and internships, gaining valuable experience and networking opportunities. Our ultimate goal is to prepare future engineers and researchers to excel in the rapidly evolving fields of photonics and AI, driving innovation and technological advancements. The Erasmus Mundus initiative supports world-class joint-degree programmes to attract the best candidates globally, enhancing the attractiveness and influence of the European Higher Education Area. As photonics and optics-based technologies are expected to become as revolutionary as digital electronics, the iPSRS programme positions its graduates at the forefront of this exciting technological evolution. From September 2024 to September 2030, iPSRS will award 80 EMJM scholarships to talented individuals from all over the world.
