About Islamic Relief Worldwide
Islamic Relief is a faith-based relief and development agency working to save and transform the lives of some of the world’s most vulnerable people. Established in 1984, we now work in over 45 countries assisting individuals, families and communities through emergency response and development projects that typically help over 10 million people each year. The global Islamic Relief family includes national offices, affiliated partners and field offices. We also own a subsidiary company which raises funds for our work by recycling clothing. Our work Our projects provide poor people with access to vital services. We tackle the root causes of poverty. We protect communities from disasters, and deliver life-saving emergency aid. We also provide lasting routes out of poverty, and empower vulnerable people to transform their lives and their communities. Islamic Relief is also a policy leader on Islamic humanitarianism, and our research programmes develop distinctive, practical approaches to the key issues that are affecting our world today.
