ISPE Nordic Affiliate
The ISPE Nordic Affiliate is a non-profit supporting pharmaceutical professionals in the Nordic and Baltic countries.
About ISPE Nordic Affiliate
The ISPE Nordic Affiliate was established in 2000 as a non-profit organization serving pharmaceutical professionals across the Nordic and Baltic countries: Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden, as well as Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania. As part of the global ISPE (International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineering) network, the Affiliate fosters collaboration and innovation in the life sciences sector. The Affiliate supports its members through Communities of Practice (CoPs), which are local groups dedicated to specific areas of the industry. Each CoP organizes 2-3 network meetings annually, where a hot topic is presented and discussed, offering valuable insights and opportunities for professional networking. These meetings are free for ISPE members and provide a great chance to connect with like-minded professionals. The Affiliate also organizes 3-4 conferences each year, with the Annual Conference being the highlight, which includes the Affiliate’s Annual General Meeting. These conferences typically last 1-1.5 days and are open to both members and non-members. Non-members can attend for a higher fee but receive a one-year ISPE membership as part of their registration. The Board of Directors is composed of volunteers from across the Nordic and Baltic regions, with roles such as Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer, and Elected Members. Board members are elected for one-year terms and balance their ISPE roles with full-time jobs. The Nordic Affiliate also actively participates in international ISPE activities. The Affiliate Board Chair and Vice Chair are members of the European Affiliate Council, and the Membership Chair is part of the International Membership Development Committee, contributing to the global pharmaceutical community.
