About ISSN International Centre
The ISSN International Centre implements ISO 3297 - International Standard Serial Number, at the global level and for all types of continuing resources. The ISSN Network is made up of 93 ISSN National Centres whose work is coordinated by the ISSN International Centre located in Paris. The ISSN International Centre is an intergovernmental organization, created in 1975 by a treaty between UNESCO and the French Government. At this date, 2.8 million ISSNs are recorded in the ISSN Register, which is the authoritative source of information and the reference tool for serials management. 65 000 new ISSN records are created annually.
