About JDR Cable Systems
JDR Cable Systems, part of the TFKable Group, is a global provider of power and control solutions for the offshore energy market. With over 30 years of experience, JDR designs, manufactures, installs, and supports subsea power cable and umbilical systems for offshore wind, oil and gas, and other offshore energy applications worldwide. A pioneer in inter-array cable technology for offshore wind, JDR combines technical expertise, innovation, and an extensive project track record with a strong focus on safety, reliability and environmental responsibility. Its manufacturing capabilities are supported by facilities in Hartlepool and Littleport in the UK, Bydgoszcz in Poland, and its new high-voltage manufacturing facility in Blyth, UK. JDR is advancing the next generation of offshore energy infrastructure through high-voltage subsea cable systems from 66 kV to 132 kV, alongside the development of HVAC export cable solutions up to 275 kV. Qualified 132 kV static and dynamic cable designs support larger offshore wind turbines of 20+ MW, longer transmission distances, and both fixed-bottom and floating offshore wind applications. Since entering the offshore wind sector, JDR has become a trusted partner for major projects across the UK, Europe, the US, and Asia. In 2026, JDR opened its new high-voltage manufacturing facility in Blyth, significantly expanding its subsea cable manufacturing and qualification capabilities and strengthening the UK offshore energy supply chain. Through continued investment in engineering, manufacturing, qualification, and lifecycle support, JDR is helping enable the next generation of offshore energy projects worldwide.
