The practice was founded in 1993 by John Robertson and today operates internationally from our headquarter studios in London, with regional offices in Edinburgh and Lodz, Poland. Guided by founder John Robertson, JRA is led by Directors Festus Moffat, David Magyar, Nathalie Bergvall, Etain Fitzpatrick, Anja Schellenbauer, Angela St Clair-Ford, Mark Wibberley, and Smita Bhat. JRA was founded on the belief that no building is beyond redemption. For over 30 years, we have cultivated unrivalled expertise in retrofit. We are committed to preserving the best of the past while guiding spaces towards a sustainable future. We champion circular and low carbon approaches, optimising efficiency, and performance, advocating for wellbeing and promoting social value. Our diverse project portfolio includes office, historical, heritage, education, compliance monitoring, interiors and residential. JRA’s recent completed projects include the reimagining of The Northcliffe for DWS, the reinvention of One Great St Helen’s, the development of 100 Embankment for x+why and Salford City Council, the refurbishment of 20 Gresham Street and 60 Threadneedle Street, and the creation of the environmentally outstanding Bloom Clerkenwell for HB Reavis. JRA is currently delivering major retrofit and workplace projects across London, including landmark buildings One Poultry, and 10 Salisbury Square.
