Transforming Business through Safety
About Krause Bell Group
Our mission is to develop data-based, innovative approaches to organizational performance improvement. We bring together thought leaders from industry and academia to understand how organizations accomplish objectives. We mine organizational data and published research – existing and new, individual and aggregate – to create rich sources of insight and effective tools to accelerate improvement. About our partners: Tom Krause has specialized in organizational safety for 35 years. Before founding the Krause Bell Group, he co-founded Behavioral Science Technology, Inc. (BST) in 1979, which conducted more than 2,300 consulting projects in 60 countries. BST was selected to help NASA improve its safety culture and leadership after the Columbia space shuttle disaster. Tom has published five books on safety management. Kristen Bell has 25 years' experience implementing safety practices as a consultant and business manager. Her international work includes leading a team of 25 safety professionals and leadership consultants on an 18-billion-dollar construction project in Papua New Guinea; the design and implementation of a safety leadership development strategy for a global mining company; and co-facilitation of leadership development workshops for safety managers in Europe, Asia, and North America.
