About Latinos in Bio

Latinos in Bio is a pioneer, first-in-kind, organization of Latino (or Latinx) leaders and professionals in Biotechnology and the life sciences in Massachusetts (and soon Nation-wide). It was founded in the Summer 2019 by Latinos, for Latinos, and it is in the process of becoming a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. Our Premise: We believe our numbers are growing in biotech/pharma and we are emerging in leadership roles, yet, the power of our network is still untapped. Our purpose is to: - Create a network that will generate business development, professional opportunities and social exchange among its members, - Elevate the visibility and amplify the social capital of Latinos in the life-sciences sector in the state of Massachusetts and nation-wide, and - Forge a path for younger Latinos to enter the Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical industries and facilitate access to career opportunities. We believe that by “liderando”, we will develop a network of exceptional leaders to promote access, excellence, mentoring, advocacy, diversity, and equity for all Latinos in the life sciences.
